Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Did you know that children 1 year of age or younger can be seen at our office for a well-child "tot exam"?
A professional evaluation at this age can be timely in setting the course for a lifetime of good oral health. Children who begin their dental care at 1 year of age or earlier experience fewer dental problems than children who begin dental care at a later age. This means easy and happy dental visits for your child, and saves you money by preventing more serious problems in the future.
Please call our office to schedule your complimentary well-child "tot exam" soon.
Our pediatric and orthodontic specialists monitor the eruption and facial development of every child to determine optimal timing for orthodontic treatment. Each orthodontic plan is customized to you or your child's specific situation using the latest technological advances in diagnosis and treatment. Our orthodontic goal is aimed not only at achieving an excellent bite, but we also focus on achieving healthy jaw joints and the best facial and smile esthetics. We are please to offer a complimentary orthodontic evaluation for both children and adults that includes an Invisalign evaluation by our Orthodontist, Dr. Andrew Arcuri.
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, and receive a complete initial exam. We will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide a complete oral exam to determine whether treatment is necessary
- Discuss both gathering additional diagnostic records to create a customized treatment plan and scheduling an orthodontic consultation appointment
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your initial consultation with Dr. Arcuri.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment and your doctor will begin to place your new orthodontic hardware. This appointment generally takes about an hour and is a morning appointment, so Dr. Arcuri is able to spend concentrated alone time with you. Dr. Arcuri and our team will be available to answer your questions and make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.
Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens”! If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. When you're ready to schedule your first appointment, contact our practice and our friendly scheduling coordinator will assist you. We're looking forward to working with you.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. With Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics for All Ages your child can coordinate their 6 month professional dental cleanings with a periodic orthodontic adjustment appointment to save you a trip!
